Welcome to another Menu Plan Monday!
I’m sharing ideas for quick and easy meals that you can share with your family. Although I’ve included information for sales occurring in my area of Ontario, Canada, you can still use these plans for budget-friendly meals.
Sales I’m taking advantage of this week:
FreshCo – Green onions 50 cents a bunch, cucumber $1 each, avocado (for breakfast and lunch) 75 cents each, 5 lb bag potatoes $1.50, 2 1/2 lb bag of Red Prince apples $3, baby carrots $1 a bag, a bag of garden salad $1, bunch of spinach $1.50, peanut butter $2 for 500 g jar (breakfasts, lunches), Cashmere toilet paper 6 double rolls for $2.00 (I know it’s not edible but it’s too good a deal not to mention!), Ranch dressing 475 ml $2
Food Basics (price matching)– Radishes 99 cents a bunch, sweet potatoes 99 cents a lb., eggs $1.99 a dozen, bacon $2.49 lb, pork chops $1.99 lb, broccoli 99 cents a bunch, sour cream 99 cents for 500 ml, asparagus $1.99 a bunch
Metro – (price matching) chorizo sausage $5.49 for 250 g plus 75 cent off coupon = $4.74 (splurge for the week but this amount will spread over 3 meals!), Black Diamond cheese bars 450 g for $4.88 plus $1 off coupon = $3.88, zucchini $1.49 lb (NOTE: if you eat tuna, it’s on for 88 cents a can – I’m allergic)
Giant Tiger – (price matching) Bravo spaghetti sauce 680 ml 88 cents (not using it this week but a really good deal so buying the 6 can limit)
This week’s menu plan:
Monday – Meatless Monday – Sweet potato gnocchi, grilled asparagus and zucchini, garlic toast
Tuesday – Applesauce meatloaf, mashed potatoes, sauteed spinach, steamed carrots
Wednesday – Bacon wrapped chicken, noodles, tossed salad (add radishes, cucumber, green onions, and carrots)
Thursday – Chorizo and sweet potato pierogies, steamed broccoli
Friday – Meat Free Friday – Corn chowder, dinner rolls
Saturday – Super Simple Saturday – Leftover chicken (from freezer) salad in wraps with radishes, green onions, spinach in it; carrot sticks and cucumber with ranch dip, applesauce
Sunday – Sabbath Sunday (quick easy meal) – One pan Ranch pork chops with potatoes (I’m cutting them in wedges instead of using mini potatoes like she did) and using broccoli in place of the green beans since it’s on sale
What are you having for dinner this week?
