Meatless Meal: Maple French Toast

Ingredients:

6-8 slices of bread

3 eggs

1/2 cup maple syrup

1 cup milk

1/4 cup light cream

Salt and nutmeg to taste

Instructions: Cut the crusts off the slices of bread if desired.  Any kind of bread will work here – whatever is your preference but some really delightful ones to use are raisin bread, sourdough, or egg bread.  Beat the eggs and whisk in the syrup, milk, cream, and seasonings.  Dip the bread into this mixture and fry in butter until egg mixture is set on the bread and slightly golden brown.
