I’ve always loved and collected Nutcracker soldiers so when I received a shipment of duct tape in a variety of Christmas colors, the idea of creating one using duct tape immediately jumped out at me. That’s how this DIY Duct Tape Nutcracker Soldier was born!
I used a tin can like the kind you can get coffee in and this way it can be filled with cookies or other gifts for friends and family this Christmas season. You could also use any kind of cylinder like a paper tube (for a smaller version), poster tubes (for taller soldiers), or concrete form tubes from the home renovations store.

Here’s the video tutorial showing you how to make one of these yourself. I apologize for the quality of the video but it’s from back in the days of Google Hangouts! It’s clear enough though that you can easily get the idea of how to make this. 🙂
