Grilled Cheese and Apple Sandwiches

Place a slice of buttered bread buttered side down in a skillet.  Whole grain breads, sunflower bread, raisin bread, and even a nice hearty sourdough can be very tasty with this sandwich!  Place a piece of cheese on top of the bread (I used sharp old cheddar for added bite), some slices of Royal Gala apples (Granny Smiths are good for this too if you like them!), and then another slice of bread buttered side up.  Cook as you would for regular grilled cheese until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
