Welcome to another Festive Friday! Festive Fridays is a bimonthly blog hop hosted by Terri Sproul. It gives us the opportunity to create Christmas cards all year long so that we have a batch of them ready to send out at the holidays. You should have arrived here from: Angela’s blog If you’d like to start the hop from the beginning, head on over to: Terri’s blog.
For this card I used some cardstock that is plain blue on one side and has these silver snowflakes embossed on the other. You can see that I added a small piece of a silver doily peeking out from the inside of the card at the bottom. Over on the left side, I added a strip of cardstock with the plain blue side showing. I wrapped a shimmery silver thread around the cardstock and then added a piece of sheer white ribbon and some metal snowflake embellishments.
On the inside, I glued a silver metallic square with tiny snowflakes embossed in it – it’s actually meant to be a gift tag that I believe came with a purchased gift bag but I put it aside to use in crafting. On top of the square, is a flower made of white netting type fabric with a silver shimmer to it, held together with a silver brad. I love having this fun little surprise inside the card!
Thanks for stopping by!

For ‘not being a card maker’ you make some of the best cards I”ve seen lately. I love this one. You obviously put a lot of thought into it.

Thank you for all your comments! And Roberta, coming from you that means a lot – I don’t consider myself a cardmaker but I’m starting to enjoy it more and more as I go. 🙂
