When I found this license plate, I was just enamoured by the polar bear shape, first used in the Northwest Territories in 1970. The low 3 digit number on the plate also fascinated me, living in a much more populated province like Ontario. Once again, I think I did really well getting a bargain on this as it was marked at $2 and I’ve seen these NWT license plates of the same era being sold online ranging from $50-100. Mind you, I didn’t and really never do buy such items to make money from them. I like to know that I got a good deal but really, these flea market and antique shop purchases are all chosen with my heart.
