Cigarette tins; actually the front two are a cigar tin and a pipe tobacco tin but all the rest are from cigarettes
I’m not sure why I started this little collection of vintage cigarette tins. I don’t smoke, have never smoked, and in fact, since my father died of lung cancer, I despise smoking. But, when I saw these in various flea markets and antique shops, I became quite intrigued by them. There’s just something aesthetic about them that I quite like. I’ve tried to find more information about them and their history but so far, I’m not really having any luck on that. In the meantime, judging by some of the online auction sites, I’ve done well in terms of pricing as none of them have cost me more than $5.
