I know, it’s not Friday anymore but I was exhausted after a long day at CreativFestival in Mississauga yesterday and couldn’t work up the energy to post this then. I’ll do another post telling you more about CreativFestival but for now, I wanted to share with you, the rubber stamp company I discovered there.
Local King Rubber Stamps is a Canadian company based in Vancouver, BC.
Lisa Yang designs all of the stamps and her husband makes them. Lisa also has wonderful DVD tutorials demonstrating some simple, but beautiful techniques to use with her stamps. I thoroughly enjoyed watching her demonstrate them at CreativFestival and trying it out for myself in the Make n Take.
This rubber stamp set was probably the most popular selling one at the Local King booth. It was the one Lisa was demonstrating with and I know, I for one, was enchanted with her results. On the right you can see that something else that stood out for me about Lisa’s designs was that for many of them, you can get coordinating dies for use in die cutting machines.
I apologize for the quality of these pictures. Between the lighting at the show and the glossy paper we used, this was the best I could do. I’ll take another picture once I get unpacked. This is the image I created using Lisa’s beautiful stamps and techniques.
It was quick and easy but look at the beautiful results you get! I’ll be sharing some of Lisa’s techniques with you on the next Creative Cynchronicity Live show on Wednesday, May 2nd, 9 pm Eastern.
