I’ve decided each week on Fridays I’m going to share with you some fabulous that I come across. My fab find for this week came about when going through a trunk of memorabilia.
These are a few of the squares that I have which were hand pieced by my great grandmother Dorinda. She was an avid quilter, using fabric from worn out pieces of clothing as the basis for her work.
I recently took a workshop in beginning hand piecing and quilting and part of my reason for doing it was so that I would have the knowledge and skills I need to be able to make something out of these squares and be able to do them justice. I’m going to be incorporating these squares into several small quilts so that I can share them among various members of my family.
Check out her stitching!
