Dollarama!!!

If you watch any of the live crafting shows that I do, you know just how much I LOVE Dollarama, a chain of dollar stores here in Canada.  In fact, several of you who watch the shows have expressed jealousy over our wonderful Dollarama because we can often find so many great finds there.

Dollarama has a nice sized arts and crafts section in it.  You can find a lot of basic crafting materials there such as chenille stems, beads, glass marbles, craft foam (plain, shapes, glitter foam), feathers, pom poms, silk flowers, moss, Styrofoam balls, and tons of different types of embellishments.

They have basic white glue, scissors (including the shaped craft scissors), punches, stamps, scrapbooking papers, markers, pencil crayons, stickers, glitter, and die cuts.

I even buy my basic acrylic craft paint, artists’ canvases (up to about a 9 by 12 inch size), wooden plaques and boxes, glass picture frames, and paint brushes there.

Wait til you see what I’m going to make out of these finds!

It’s not even just the craft section that has some great finds in it.  There are hidden treasures throughout the store.  If you’ve been following my blog, you’ve seen a number of projects that use all kinds of dollar store finds and in the following days and weeks, you’ll see some more from some of my recent treasure hunts there.  Remember, it’s not just art supply or craft stores that have materials for you to use.  Check out local hardware stores, dollar stores, and more!
