It’s time for some Hallowe’en Craft Lightning – a little treat pouch you can make in under 15 minutes!

ccorn1

I’m using some self-adhesive yellow and orange craft foam, some white ribbon, and some yellow and orange washi tape to decorate a plain old toilet paper tube.  You could paint it, cover it with felt or paper pieces instead.

I applied the ribbon with a basic tape runner – white glue or a glue stick would also work.   The craft foam I had was self-adhesive but again, just some basic glue would work here.

Next I embellished it with some washi tape in appropriate colors just to add a little pizzazz to the project.

To finish it off, all you need to do is staple one end together.  You could also use some of that super tacky tape (the red kind) to hold it together and then run just the very end of it through a paper crimper to make it even more secure.  For the other end, you’re going to want to close it in the opposite direction.  Punch a couple holes to run some ribbon through and tie it shut.  Voila!  An adorable little candy corn treat pouch!

Note:  I *meant* to put the staple at the yellow end and tie the white one.  If I had done that, I think it would look even more like a candy corn!
