Do you like Lego? Better question – does anyone NOT like Lego? Ok ok, so it’s not good to step on it or to clean it up when your kids dump it all over the floor but you have to admit, it brings hours of fun and joy! Our whole family loves Lego, no matter what the age.
Isn’t it great that not only can you build with Lego but there are Lego books, movies, and TV shows to watch as well? It’s such a wonderful way of sharing your child’s interests with them in many different ways. And the big news is that as of March 4th, two new Lego themed shows have launched on Netflix – LEGO Bionicle and LEGO Friends.
Can’t get enough LEGO? We don’t blame ya. Check out these other LEGO titles available on Netflix.

Want to make some fun Lego creations while enjoying these Netflix shows?
And how about making some of these fun Lego Themed Rice Krispie squares? They’re so simple – the kids can even help! Simply follow the directions on a box of Rice Krispies to make the squares. BUT, don’t cut them into pieces yet. I find it easiest to lay out some of the candies in a Lego pattern first so you can see just what size to cut them into. Make them all the same or different sizes just like real Lego.
Once they’re cut into rectangles, now it’s time to decorate. Use your favourite frosting recipe or buy some premade at the store. Working in small batches for each colour desired, mix in some food colouring into some icing. I use paste food colouring to get truer colours (especially when it comes to red) and I like to use a toothpick or popsicle stick to scoop out a tiny bit at a time. Frost the Rice Krispie rectangles and then top with round candies to mimic the “pegs” on the Lego. I used Skittles but Smarties (Canadian Smarties that is) or M & Ms work well too. Simple but oh so cute! The kids will love them.
Best part of watching Lego shows on Netflix? Not only will the kids enjoy them, but there’s no painful Lego underfoot and no Lego mess to clean up! Woohoo!
